For more than 135 years, Barilla has been committed to making authentic, high-quality pastas for everyone to enjoy. Barilla now offers a new, convenient & delicious solution for those who maintain a Gluten Free diet or lifestyle, and ensure that it is readily available on Amazon. Made with non-GMO corn and rice, our Gluten Free Elbows offer home cooks the delicious taste and texture they have come to expect from Barilla without the gluten.

Pasta Shape
Try Barilla’s Gluten Free Elbows corn and rice pasta! Elbows, “Gomiti” or “Chifferi” in Italian, are named for their twisted, cylindrical pasta shape that can vary in size. Elbow pasta, often called macaroni, originated in Northern and Central Italy where it is traditionally used in soups.

Texture
Our Gluten Free Elbows are ridged with an extra twist, giving it a more sophisticated texture that helps hold pasta sauce. You can take these elbow pasta beyond the expected in any number of traditional Italian meals, including baked pasta dishes, or tossed with vegetable or cheese pasta sauces.

Preparing This Pasta

  1. Bring 4 – 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste.
  2. Add all of the wheat free pasta to the boiling water. Stir gently.
  3. Return to a boil. For authentic “”al dente”” gluten free pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 7 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil for an additional 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat. Drain well.
  5. Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla pasta sauce.

You won’t know the difference in flour and gluten free pastas

Barilla did great on the Gluten Free pasta! I have celiac disease and pasta is a must I have tried several brands and types of gluten free pasta and by far this one is the best. I don’t like the taste or texture of just corn or just rice pasta. Combining the two is definitely a winner. It is great for anything especially pasta salads. Most gluten free pasta gets really hard when it gets cold but not this pasta. It tastes great re-heated or cold (in the case of pasta salads). It has the texture and taste of regular pasta, even my parents…
