Missed the mark I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review.This book is all over the place. It claims in the introduction to “show you how to do this by giving you recipes for single-serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals, soups, slow-cooker dishes and, last but not least, desserts.” Well, that’s the first problem. The third recipe calls for 2 cups of meat. That’s one serving? Really? (I should also mention that this is a “breakfast” recipe for…

Aweful, needs to be totally re-writen. I wish amazon would accept my review with zero stars, however you must at least give a book 1star, before it will accept a review. This book was aweful. It kept changing the recipe measurements from grams to US measurements, and even quite frequently used 0.5. The proper term would be 1/2 in any recipe book. One recipe said 0.5 apple slices. Does that mean 1/2 of an apple slice, or 1/2 of an apple, sliced. Who wrote this book? He knows nothing about the proper way to word the ingredients…

An admirable attempt at helping young adults cook that simply missed the mark. Cooking for One Cookbook: The Best Recipes for Healthy and Inexpensive One Dish Meals should really have been titled Cooking for One Cookbook: An Introduction for Young Adults Out On Their Own For The First Time (with a full grasp of the English & Metric System of Measurement).
