Good all-around reference I had read another book by this author on nutrition and it was a great intro to the subject. What calories are and how they relate to physical activity is explained here. Carbohydrates, good fats from various sources, and different kinds of protein are discussed. Besides the nutrition component of fitness several exercises are described in this book too, for upper and lower body muscle groups, and even some Pilates and yoga poses, which I especially appreciated. The final section of the book…

I personally found the section on carbohydrates very useful, and the yoga exercises were a lovely touch 0
