New, and completely pristine throughout. See scans and description. Richmond, CA: OuchFactory YumClub, 2017. Volume 45 (October, 2017) of Hi-Fructose – The New Contemporary Art Magazine, edited by founders Attaboy and Annie Owens. Special silver foil-stamped cover title over Erik Mark Sandberg’s cover art. Quarto, illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 122 pp. + 16 page insert. New, flawless, cover to cover. See all scans. Archival storage since acquisition. An expensively produced, serious eye-candy contemporary art publication, published four times a year since 2005, HF seems to out-do itself with each new issue. Every page deserves a scan, were that possible here; slam-dunk collectibles, IMHO. Erik Mark Sandberg cover, and the 16-page Ashley Wood insert is, of course, present and immaculate. From the publisher’s own presentation: “Featured in this issue are the sculptures of Tina Yu, “Turn the Page” at the Crocker Art Museum, psychedelic illustrations of Bang Sangho, the delectable sculptures of Roni Landa, silk painter Akika Kurata, James Marshall (aka DALEK), the ferocious paintings of Hannah Faith Yata, the hand-stitched bodegas of Lucy Sparrow, the drawings of Miles Johnston, and a review of visionary director Alejandro Jodorowsky’s latest film.” A worthy genre keeper, never produced in large numbers, and in this case in pristine condition. Ships in a new, sturdy, protective box, of course – not a bag. LPR35
